He was fellowship trained in minimal access/bariatric surgery at The Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery in New York.
Dr. Maffei is a board certified general surgeon and a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons. An assistant professor of surgery at New York Medical College, Dr. Maffei is also involved in the training of residents and fellows in general surgery and minimal access surgery.
Dr. Maffei and his team have over 35 years of combined experience and have performed more than 4,000 bariatric surgeries.
