The Dermatology Department at Westchester Medical Center provides comprehensive dermatology services to adult and pediatric patients. Our department oversees 11 dermatology residents each year, focusing on investigative clinical research in dermatologic disorders.
Our department maintains its own diagnostic laboratory and is capable of providing a variety of dermatology treatments including laser and cosmetic surgery, ultraviolet phototherapy, and Mohs micrographic surgery.
The Dermatology Department at Westchester Medical Center offers a full range of cutting-edge services including treatments for diseases of the skin, hair and nails, as well as pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, skin cancer, and laser surgery. Our patients experience comfortable and effective diagnosis and treatment of both common conditions and complex disorders. Our treatments include:
- Laser and Cosmetic Surgery
Using the most advanced laser procedures available, our center offers a variety of non-invasive surgical laser services including acne treatments and skin resurfacing, wrinkle treatments, hair removal, and tattoo and scar removal.
- Phototherapy (ultraviolet)
Therapeutic light therapy is an effective low-risk treatment for a variet of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Our phototherapy services are also effective for wound healing and mood disorders including depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder.
- Mohs Micrographic Surgery
The most advanced treatment available for skin cancer, Mohs Micrographic Surgery is performed by specially trained physicians to remove infected tissue layer by layer without destroying healthy skin surrounding the affected area.
- Laser Vein Treatment
This minimally invasive revolutionary treatment for varicose veins provides excellent cosmetic results with quick recovery and minimal pain.
