Dr. Hasan Ahmad received his B.A from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He completed an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver. During this time he also completed a 2 year NIH sponsored research fellowship to study the mechanisms of right heart failure. He then completed a 2 year fellowship in interventional cardiology at the New York Hospital-Cornell. He continues to pursue his interest in clinical and translational research.
Dr Ahmad specializes in general cardiology, non-invasive cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. In addition to percutaneous coronary interventions, Dr. Ahmad specializes in peripheral vascular interventions, valvuloplasty, and ASD and PFO closures.
