HealthAlliance Hospital Expansion Gets State Approval
As seen in the September/October 2019 issue of Advancing Care
The New York State Department of Health recently granted full project approval to HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), for the expansion of its hospital on Mary’s Avenue in Kingston.
The $92.9 million project will add a new, two-story, 79,000-square-foot building adjoining the current facility and a full renovation of 48,000 square feet of space within the hospital.
Updates will include a new 25,000-square-foot emergency care center with integrated cardiac observation and behavioral health services; a newly constructed intensive care unit; and a “stepdown” unit, providing an intermediate level of care between the ICU and the new hospital’s medical-surgical units.
The changes will include a new birthing center, imaging department, and remodeled ambulatory surgery, infusion therapy and endoscopy centers — as well as a renovated hospital lobby with a full range of support services.
