Message from Program Director

Welcome to the Westchester Medical Center Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program information page.

The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP) Fellowship Program at Westchester Medical Center is an ACGME accredited 2-year Fellowship Program. Our program is set up for two fellows, one per year of training. Westchester Medical Center is located 20 miles from New York City, and is a busy quaternary care medical center with state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Laboratories, as well as a cardiac transplant/advanced heart failure program, structural heart program, congenital heart program, and one of the highest case mix indexes in the country. Our CCEP Program offers training in the full spectrum of electrophysiology, including complex ablations (both endocardial and epicardial), left atrial appendage occlusion devices, cardiac implantable electronic device implantation, and laser lead extraction.

We participate in ERAS as well as the NRMP Match program. Applicants must complete a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency and 3-year Cardiology Fellowship to be eligible. Our application cycle begins on December 1st each year via ERAS (ex. ERAS applications open December 1, 2018 for a program start date July 1, 2020).

We sincerely welcome your interest in the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Training Program of Westchester Medical Center/ New York Medical College. Here, we emphasize a strong academic foundation in order to produce outstanding electrophysiologists in both academic and clinical settings throughout the United States.

After being carefully selected, each fellow is intensively trained in an environment that combines rigorous academic and clinical training with the one-on-one direction and collegiality of a dedicated, full-time faculty. Our goal is to train electrophysiologists who can provide exceptional leadership and compassionate care in a rapidly changing field.

Those interested in applying to the program must do so through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) using the following link: www.aamc.org/eras. Our application cycle begins a year and a half before your advanced fellowship start date on December 1st each year via ERAS (ex. ERAS applications open December 1, 2018 for a program start date July 1, 2020).

In order to apply to the program, we require a complete application package to be submitted via ERAS. Only applicants who have completed a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency and 3-year Cardiology Fellowship are eligible. A minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, including one from your Cardiology Fellowship Program Director, are required. Our program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) fellowship match. You can register at www.nrmp.org.

Our NRMP program code is: Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology 2157154S0
