Westchester Medical Center's Clinical Pastoral Education Program and Center are fully accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE). All students completing work in the WMC's program will be professionally registered at:

For all programs, at least seventy-five percent of time is spent in ministry to patients, families, and staff; twenty-five percent is spent in seminars, didactics, and individual and group supervision.
CPE Resident Program
A 12-month, three-unit, Chaplain Residency begins the second week of September
- Application deadline: Six months prior to anticipated start date
- Average of 13 hours per week for group seminars, individual supervision and education
- 40-hour commitment per week, including day, evening and weekend on-call responsibilities during the unit
- $45,977 stipend with benefits
Program Fees
• For Residency the Application fee is $50.00. Unit Tuition is $250.00 (3 Units in the yearlong program)
CPE Part-Time Internship Program
A 30-week internship begins the second week of September and ends the second week of April.
- Application deadline: Two months prior to anticipated start date
- 4 hours per week for group supervision
- 10 hours of clinical service per week, day
- A total of 14 hours per week (minimum)
Program Fees
• Application fee is $50. Unit Tuition is $750 (1 Unit, 30-week internship)
