Westchester Medical Center Health Network Appoints Joshua Ratner as Senior Vice President for Network Strategy

VALHALLA, N.Y. (January 11, 2017) – The Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) announced the appointment of Joshua Ratner as Senior Vice President of Network Strategy.

WMCHealth Joshua RatnerIn his new role at WMCHealth, Ratner will collaborate with senior administration and network affiliates to develop and execute strategies that enhance offered services in order to deliver improved clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. To accomplish this, Ratner will shepherd network business development and lead the evolution of integrated service lines that will provide quality, compassionate care across the 10 hospitals within the network, as well as WMCHealth's other service offerings including advanced nursing care, behavioral health and at-home services.

Ratner transitions into his network role after his highly successful tenure as Chief Strategy Officer at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley (HealthAlliance). There, Ratner was instrumental in the process that brought HealthAlliance into the Westchester Medical Center Health Network and was a key figure in the planning of the recently announced projects that will result in a 110,000 square-foot expansion and renovation of the HealthAlliance Hospital on Mary's Avenue in Kingston, New York, as well as a medical village hub at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, also in Kingston. The projects are expected to transform healthcare delivery in the City of Kingston, Ulster County, New York and the surrounding communities.

Ratner secured his BA in sociology from Stony Brook University and his MPA in Health Policy & Management from New York University. When he and his wife, Amy are not engaged in an activity with one of their four children, Ratner, an avid runner, can be found jogging in and around his town of residence: Wesley Hills.
